LOST... AND FOUND

In today’s world, it seems very difficult to find a place that hasn’t been colonized by the mass tourism. We assume it is normal to share our well deserved holidays with dozens of strangers, but yet we dream to find that remote island where we can feel like Robison Crusoe...but without having to say goodbye to the comforts and luxuries of the modern world.

I think that it is on of the reasons why the TV series Lost was a worldwide success: it captured the peoples desire of adventure and mystery placing it in a remote tropical island where although they where apparently lost they all magically had access to clean clothes, hair stylists to look well  in very mysterious situation and have a healthy diet without losing weight like the cast of Survivors reality show. In other words, to be "famously lost".

Well, we have maybe an opportunity to feel like that. There are still a few places in the world truly off the radar, where with a little bit of luck none of our acquaintances has been there yet and who knows you may be able to discover a Darma factory in them

One good example is St Helena island, some people may have heard of the island because it was where Napoleon was exiled and after looking its remote location in a map you will perfectly understand why. Without an airport, the only way access this UK managed enclave in the southern Atlantic there is by a long boat sail, preferably in the Royal mail boat from Cape Town, which could be a wonderful scenery for a Agatha Christie murder mystery like in Death on the Nice style. Once there you could check what I call the mysterious north sector, called like that because in Google earth always appears block by a convenient set of clouds, making it the perfect location for a Darma factory or a James Bond enemy secret base.
